Ideal and overall clean hotel with flexible and efficient staff. Large room overall, on the 2nd level. Good and excellent location relatively close to Nikko Base. Local area very close to many bus lines, and most temples and sites.

The hotel is clean, the staff is pleasant, and the room is big. They have refreshing beverages in the salad bar. The service is perfect, includes ample parking. Thank you for a fairly nice stay.

The view from our corner room on the top floor was so amazing! The massive room size gave us plenty of space to relax. Though the breakfast options could use some more variety 🌄

Great location. Nice staff who understood English well. They were very helpful. Room size was great for Japanese standards.
Uncomfortable bed and pillow (for western standards). We were not able to sleep and my bones hurted during my sleep. The most uncomfortable bed I'd sleep in Japan. Great place, nice hotel, great room size, but for the price I paid I expected a nice bed.

very nice location. cleanliness.
the hot bath room is too plain. its price is too high compared to facility & service.

location directly across from Tobu station, onsen facility with three pools, spacious rooms for Japan
Air-conditioning too hot and centrally controlled!!! A towel rail in the bathroom would be a nice touch!!! English communication could be clearer, some staff might struggle in that area.

Close to nat park, but need to buy bus pass and traffic probably jams solid when busy
bit fawlty towers, sorry cannot eat in restaurant, group booking. Pouring rain, go elsewhere. Nikko has nowhere after 5, except a surprisingly good bangladeshi restaurant, that the hotel staff certainly did not help us to.

There was nothing we liked about this hotel. Our stay here almost ruined our entire trip. We will never stay there again nor will we recommend that anyone else stay there either.
The staff was unfriendly and acted like they did not care if we were there or not. We tried twice to eat at the hotel restaurant but were unsuccessful both times. The first time because we were segregated to a small glass box of a room with an unappetizing view of the kitchen hallway because we were not on some list they had. The second time because the kitchen was undetstaffed and we could not be served for another hour because there was not enough food, We were not allowed to control the temperature in our room. When we asked for help in turning on the air conditioner, the front desk person came to our room and shook her head no and then opened a window and left! We wasted an entire day to try to do one load of laundry because their laundry facilities consisted of a washer dryer combined in one machine, which did not dry out clothes after three hours. We went to a coin laundry and did two loads in an hour. These are just the main reasons for our unhappiness

The Station Hotel Classic impressed with its prime location, just steps from Tobu Nikko Station. The spacious twin room offered a comfortable escape with amenities like a tv and a reliable wifi connection. The breakfast buffet featured a good variety of dishes, including fresh salads and a unique omelet prepared by an attentive chef. I loved the public hot baths-both indoor and outdoor-perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The hotel could enhance the breakfast experience with more variety and options. Another downside was the dated ambiance in some areas, specifically the hallways that showed signs of wear. The staff were accommodating, but the check-in process could be smoother with better communication between shifts. I appreciated the luggage storage service before check-in and after check-out.
